En Route to the Lost City

The big push to Machu Picchu via the Salkantay Trek is not the finish, but the beginning. Day 1 brought the 15,091’ (4600 m) pass in shadow of Salkantay [20,574’ (6,271 m)] and the rest was downhill to the Lost City on this trek in April 2015.

In Awe...

After a season long journey to see this place, I finally realized what Mark Adams was talking about in his book "Turn Right at Machu Picchu."

Double Fist Pump of Joy

Double Fist Pump of Joy

Celebrating a 4 month journey to one of the most stunning places in the world, the stoke couldn’t have been stronger to finally arrive to Salar de Uyuni in Southern Bolivia in April 2015. In this marvelous photographic landscape, the tour always ends too soon.

Misty Morning at Machu Picchu

Misty Morning at Machu Picchu

At a secret beach near Hana on Maui, a local mermaid shows how to soak up the soul of a place.

Train to Flam

Train to Flam

Descending from Myrdal in central Norway, this is one of the prettiest train rides in the world (not even counting the fjord at the bottom!).

North of the Sun

North of the Sun

This hidden beach in the Lofoten Islands, scene for the Norwegian documentary North of the Sun, played as our home for a brief backpacking trip.
